Credibility From the Inside

Before law school, Shane worked at AIG and Chubb, two of the world’s largest insurance companies, where he learned how insurers underwrite risk and measure exposure.

After law school, he built his career at leading defense firms, litigating high-exposure tort cases in state and federal courts nationwide. He served as national and regional counsel for Fortune 500 companies and their insurers and tried numerous cases to verdict. That experience gives Shane a perspective few plaintiffs’ lawyers possess—and he now uses it exclusively for people the system was never designed to protect.

After 17+ years of defending corporations and insurance companies, Shane made a deliberate decision to devote his practice entirely to representing injured individuals and grieving families.

When a life is significantly changed—or taken—this work is not academic. It is personal. It demands lawyers willing to confront powerful institutions, tell the truth plainly, and prepare every case for trial from day one.

If the stakes are significant, speak with lawyers who take the work personally.

Complex Harm, Clear Proof

What sets Shane apart is credibility. He understands how insurers and defense counsel evaluate risk, posture cases, and apply pressure—because he worked alongside the people who drive those outcomes.

Shane brings a direct, personable, and highly engaging presence to every case. His ability to connect—with juries, judges, witnesses, and opposing counsel alike—helps defuse posturing, clarify issues, and move cases toward resolution without unnecessary friction. That combination of technical command and human connection often proves decisive, whether in the courtroom or across the table.

Shane is the former co-founder of DataGavel, a tort litigation analytics platform sold in December 2025, where he developed a subspecialty in valuing and pricing claims—experience that now directly informs his plaintiffs’ practice. He frequently partners with referring counsel and is committed to transparent communication, shared strategy, and direct access for clients when it matters most.

When the stakes are significant, skills and experience matter. Perspective matters. Personality matters. And so does having a lawyer who knows how the system works—and how to make it answer for the harm it causes.
